Ancient Greeks take over New Town

On July 2nd  an Ancient Greek Invasion took place at New Town Primary School.  The groovy Greek

Grebes visited every classroom to show what they had made. Every Grebe was dressed in a toga, wearing a crown of golden laurel leaves and carrying an Olympic style torch. The children an- swered questions and shared information about their learning.

After visiting every class they re- turned for some rest and relaxation. This included a mini Greek Feast of humus, tzatziki and pitta bread washed down with a refreshing apple juice. The afternoon was enjoyed by all and Grebes look forward to understanding more of how the Greeks have influ- enced modern culture.
