Harris Gardens– Sounds of Nature Workshop
On Wednesday, 25 children from Lower Key Stage Two were invited to the University of Reading to take part in a ‘Sounds of Nature’ workshop in the beautiful Harris Gardens.
We had the chance to explore the gardens, discovering plants and trees that we had never seen before and we created some art work inspired by our surroundings.
We worked with a sound engineer using microphones and recording devices to create an audio trail for the gardens. We had our own headphones and we could use musical instruments and the nature around us to record sound.
We all had a brilliant time and can’t wait to hear the audio trail which will be released to the public next spring.
