New Town Primary School Nurturing Brilliance, Inspiring Ambition

OFSTED Reports

Ofsted visited the school on the 8th & 9th May 2019 and carried out a full inspection. Their full report is attached below.

The inspection was incredibly positive and the inspectors found New Town Primary School to be good throughout.

Those who have been part of the school family for a long period of time will remember an inspection in October 2014 which found the school to be Inadequate in every area.  An intense period of improvement and significant amount of sustained work has taken place since then, and the staff in all areas of the school have worked very hard to secure rapid improvements.

Of course, there are areas for further development which the inspection team and leaders discussed, and in the next few years we will look to broaden our focus and work on these in our quest to improve the school even further, and do our very best for our lovely children.

I would like to thank parents, colleagues and friends of the school for their support and kind words both during the inspection and over the course of the last few years.
